With Patek Philippe being the most prestigious watchmaker in the world, as well as one of the most expensive, it is fitting that some of the biggest names across film, TV, music, and sport have one—or two—to their name. So, with this in mind, let’s take a look at some of the famous faces who have a taste for this Swiss watchmaker’s offerings.
Ed Sheeran
The superstar singer, songwriter, guitarist and master of the loop pedal, Ed Sheeran, is one of a rather large handful of celebrities who love a Patek Philippe timepiece. The Englishman has been spotted repping a classic Patek Philippe Nautilus 5726A which he got as a gift after performing at a friend’s Bar Mitzvah.
Frank Lampard
Former Chelsea player and manager, Frank Lampard, is not only a Chelsea man through-and-through but a Patek Philippe watch fan too—and who can blame him? Lampard has been spotted with an array of Pateks on his wrist, including an orange-strapped Aquanaut, blue dial Nautilus and a rather rare salmon dial Perpetual Calendar Chronograph.
Kevin Hart
Yet another celebrity to have a collection of Patek Philippe watches, comedian and actor Kevin Hart has been spotted with an impressive roster of different Patek models over the years. One of our favourites, though, is his Celestial 6102R from 2015, which features a stunning dial displaying a rotating chart of stars that perfectly replicates the skies of the Northern Hemisphere.
Ellen DeGeneres
The legendary chat show host and comedian has worn a range of luxury watches on the Ellen Show for years now. When it comes to her Patek Philippe pieces, one of our favourites has to be the Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 5271P, part of the Grand Complications collection, which dazzles with its diamond-studded bezel and lugs.
Paul McCartney
One fourth of the Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney, has had an incredible career which has most certainly scored him a place in the rock and roll hall of fame, and rightly so.
