News: The New More Luxurious Zenith Chronomaster Sport

Back in January, Zenith unveiled its new Chronomaster Sport—a watch fit for today's market with its sporty design and rather special variant of the legendary El Primero movement. So, why am I talking about it now, I hear you ask. Well, that’s because Zenith just released this: the Chronomaster Sport Rose Gold.

A little background for those of you that live under a rock. The Chronomaster sport is a 41mm sports chronograph with a ceramic bezel and three-link bracelet. It boasts a 36,000 vph 1/10th of a second El Primero movement—with a 60-hour power reserve—a very Zenith multi-coloured dial, and well, looks a lot like a lot like a Rolex Daytona.

So, what’s different about the Chronomaster Sport in Rose Gold? It’s in the name. Where the original was released in stainless steel, this version opts for a more luxurious rose gold. The case, hands, markers, crown and pushers have all been swapped out for the warmer toned material. Other than that, the Chronomaster Sport remains the same watch fans fell in love with back in January.

It’s important to note that this watch is only available in the variant you see before you: a rose gold case with a white dial and an accompanying black leather strap. While it's almost guaranteed that Zenith will release more case and dial variants in the future, I don’t think we will be seeing a solid gold bracelet anytime soon—this watch already costs £17,800 without one, which's more than double the price of its steel counterpart.

So, there you have it. If you’re in the market for a sports watch that’s a little more bling-bling, and has a ton of history behind it, then the new Zenith Chronomaster Sport Rose Gold with its El Primero movement is definitely worth consideration.
