News: BR-X1 Collection for Renault
Watches and motorsport have fitted together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle since the very beginnings of the sport. There are several famous watch and race car partnerships—and Bell & Ross has now become a member of the ranks.
The brand is celebrating its position as the Official Watch Partner of the Renault Sport Formula One team in spectacular style with the BR-X1 Collection. Both models in the range feature highlights of yellow in tribute to the racing team, and utlilise cutting-edge Carbone Forgé grade 5 titanium and ceramic material for their stylishly modern cases.
The BR-X1 RS16 is limited to 250 pieces, and makes use of the Bell & Ross calibre 313, beating at 28,800vph with a power reserve of 44 hours. The open-worked dial features a skeleton date at 6 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph timer at 9, encircled by a sporty tachymeter scale.
The BR-X1 RS16 Tourbillon is rarer still, numbered to only 20 models. It uses the in-house manual-wind calibre 283 which beats at 21,600vph and has a power reserve of 100 hours—the indicator for which can be seen at 9 o’clock. The piece is a mono-pusher column wheel chronograph, also featuring a spectacular flying tourbillon which can be seen in all of its glory at 6 o’clock.
