Feature: A. Lange & Söhne Introduces A Minute Repeater To The Richard Lange Collection

The Richard Lange is one of A. Lange & Söhne’s most luxurious models and during this year’s Watches & Wonders ALS has announced it’s going to exemplify this even further by adding a minute repeater to this stunning timepiece. Limited to just 50 pieces, this platinum watch is sure to woo enthusiasts of luxury watches all over the world, not just visually but acoustically too.

A. Lange & Söhne is no stranger to this difficult complication having put minute repeaters in other models including the Zeitwerk and Grand Complication. But the new Richard Lange Minute Repeater puts the focus solely on the chiming mechanism as a singular complication. Meaning there is a melody for every minute with the hours sounding at a lower pitch, the quarter hours with a double tone, and the minutes that have elapsed since the last quarter hour with a higher-pitched tone.

Visually, this piece has a stunning understated appeal with a crisp white dial, roman numerals, blue hands and a sub dial at 6 o’clock. The black alligator strap perfectly complements the sleek platinum case too.

Flip this magical piece over and you’ll find the calibre L122.1, a stunning movement with a 72-hour power reserve. It’s here where you can admire the minute repeater’s chiming mechanism and gong hammers at work—trust us, it’s mesmerising!
